Influential NY guitarist/singer/songwriter Sturgis Nikides and his partner in crime, fellow guitarist/singer/songwriter Bobby Lingo are seeking a skilled rhythm section for their new band, Big Block. We need a hard hitting drummer with rock solid timing and a thumping bassist with steady hands to keep the rhythm locked in. We plan on recording asap, and booking a steady stream of local appearances to build a following and support our recordings. Our music is an amalgam of straight ahead rock & roll, slide guitar swamp blues and hard edges 70’s era NYC sounds that only authentic veterans of CBGB’s and Max’s can deliver. We have our own rehearsal and recording space in Nassau County, Long Island. Age is unimportant, but heart, soul and dedication are an absolute must.
